• DAY 3 - The start of the climb

The trail from White River campground was damaged by floods and winds earlier this year so there's considerable boulder and tree scrambling for the first hour.

• Setting up the first tent... the group works together. In situations when the weather is bad, you really don't want your shelter to blow away while you're setting up camp.
• Home sweet home for the 1st night.

• DAY 4 - We packed up camp and started up Interglacier, on our way to camp Schurman.
• Up the Interglacier, the 1st night's camp site is way down below.
• Time for a quick break and a few photos.

• The route to camp Schurman, crevasses criss-cross the glacier, you can see the route around them near the center of the picture.
• Camp Schurman (9,450 feet) and home for the next few days. The structure is the ranger station.
• Our camp and the tracks on the glacier lead towards the summit, you can ALMOST see it.
• DAY 4/5 - The summit climb begins... sunrise on summit day.

Our wake up call was 11:30pm on day 4 and we were on the trail to the summit by 12:30am on day 5. We got to see the city lights of puget sound (all of them), the northern lights (yep!), the milky way, moonrise and sunrise all in a span of 4 hours. What a climb!
