Mt. Rainier - Emmons Glacier

From July 7th through July 12th, I joined a group of seven others for a RMI Emmons Glacier Training Expedition, which ended with a summit of Mt. Rainier via the Emmons Glacier route.

  • The crater at the top of Mt. Rainier - the loop around the rim of the crater is a mile and a good runner can complete the loop in less than 9 minutes.

  • Some members of the climbing party pose at the summit. We head back to camp Schurman after a 45 minute stop and spend our final night on the mountain. On day 6 we head back to White River Campground.<br /> <br /> I couldn't have climbed this mountain with a better group of guides or climbing partners.
